Winner of the NVVT grantKoen Adema: winner of the NVVT Grant
Koen Adema has become the winner of the NVVT Grant to participate in the FATIPEC – ETCC congress in Lausanne June 4-6, 2012. His contribution: ‘depletion layers in nanocomposite coatings’ has been selected out of five submitted abstracts. Koen is a student in the group of Prof. G. de With at the laboratory of Materials and Interface Chemistry, TU Eindhoven.
In general the selection committee was very pleased with the overall quality of the submitted abstracts and the research approaches behind the different topics.
The grant
The FATIPEC board wishes to stimulate the participation of young scientists from the whole of Europe. To this purpose it has been decided to sponsor the participation of one young scientist per country. The grant will cover: congress fee, travel costs and the costs of hotel and food. In return the applicant is asked to present a poster or a paper during the congress. A special event with the FATIPEC board and all young scientists from all countries is foreseen during the congress.
Selection process and criteria
The selection process for this grant in the Netherlands has been executed under the responsibility of the board of the NVVT. To this purpose a selection committee had been installed consisting of 3 board members and headed by the Dutch representative of the FATIPEC European Scientific Committee (ESC).
